We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will support case files, conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and ensure all filings and paperwork are processed efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to case management and a strong understanding of legal processes to contribute effectively to our team’s success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information from statutes, case law, legal articles, and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs. Assist in preparation of documents for court filings.
  • Organize and maintain case files, manage deadlines, and track ongoing legal proceedings. Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Communicate with clients to obtain information, provide updates on case status, and answer routine questions.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for court appearances and trials, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and managing correspondence.
  • Handle other tasks as assigned by attorneys or supervisors to ensure efficient operation of the legal team.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field; Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal research databases such as Westlaw or LexisNexis and document management systems.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, processes, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with clients and court personnel.
  • Ability to review and organize detailed documents with accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical conduct.

Physical Requirements

This job operates in a professional office environment with largely sedentary duties. The employee will sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset, and may occasionally move about the office, reach in any direction, raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, and hold onto objects up to forty (40) pounds.
