Job summary

Payne Law Firm, P.C. is seeking a full-time, on-site paralegal to support pre-litigation and litigation efforts in a fast-paced environment in Houston. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of litigation experience and strong organizational and communication skills.

Certification from an ABA-approved program or an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies is preferred; proficiency with Clio and Microsoft Office is a plus. Health benefits and long-term disability coverage are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of litigation experience.
• Preferred ABA-approved program certification or an associate degree in paralegal studies.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology and the court system; document management experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients.
• Set up treatment and maintain case documentation.
• Organize and keep case files ready for review.
• Prepare case-specific documents and pleadings.
• Draft correspondence and pleadings.
• Assist attorneys in depositions, mediation, and trial prep.
• Assist with discovery requests and e-filing (state and federal).
• Calendar and docket cases.

We are seeking a full-time, on-site highly motivated, experienced Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will provide support and assist in all phases of the pre-litigation and litigation process. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and driven by a commitment to excellence, client satisfaction, and success in a fast-paced, trial-focused environment.

Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities
