Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support our litigation team from intake through trial and post-judgment. The ideal candidate will handle personal injury, workers' compensation, and employment law matters with strong organizational and communication skills.

The role requires hands-on experience with e-filing systems, case management software, and MS Office. Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred to facilitate diverse client interactions and investigations.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred; Bachelor's degree a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, with direct experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, and employment law matters preferred.
  • Fluency in both English & Spanish.
  • Proven experience with e-filing systems and court rules; familiarity with state and federal e-filing portals.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery practice, and trial preparation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with case management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase), MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and document management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Professional demeanor, strong client service orientation, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Membership in a paralegal association or certification (e.g., CP, CLA) and prior experience with medical record review and damages calculations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage case files and maintain accurate, organized documentation for matters in personal injury, workers' compensation, and employment litigation.
  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other court documents using electronic filing systems (e-filing).
  • Coordinate and manage discovery: draft interrogatories, requests for production, subpoenas, and responses; review and organize documents; prepare privilege logs.
  • Schedule and calendar deadlines, court dates, depositions, mediations, and client meetings; maintain statute of limitations and litigation timelines.
  • Draft correspondence, demand letters, settlement agreements, and routine legal documents; proofread and format documents to court standards.
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation: organize exhibits, prepare witness packets, compile trial binders, and coordinate with experts and vendors.
  • Collect, review, and organize medical records, billing, employment records, and other evidentiary materials; summarize records and prepare chronologies and damages calculations.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, insurers, and court clerks to facilitate case progress and resolution.
  • Manage billing entries, timekeeping, and file budgets; track expenses and assist with client invoicing as needed.
  • Assist with investigations, statement-taking, and legal research using legal databases; synthesize findings for attorney review.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support our litigation team in all phases of case management from intake through trial and post-judgment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, and employment law matters, strong litigation support skills, and proficiency with e-filing systems.
