Chicago Atlantic is a registered investment adviser specializing in multi-asset class investing, including private debt, private equity, and real estate. Established in 2019, the firm manages over $1.5 billion and has offices in Chicago, Miami, and New York. We are seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to join our in-house legal team in Chicago, Illinois.

The Paralegal will support the legal department in various tasks such as finance transactions, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, fund formation, regulatory compliance, and contract management. The role involves close collaboration with attorneys, senior executives, and other departments to ensure efficient legal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal and administrative support across departments including compliance, investor relations, accounting, and operations.
• Advise on corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance issues.
• Assist with preparing and filing corporate documents, resolutions, and annual reports.
• Support regulatory filings and reports to agencies such as the SEC.
• Maintain and update corporate records and governance documents.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor deadlines related to filings, contracts, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and a paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
• At least ten years of corporate law experience, with a minimum of five years at an AMLAW 100 firm in a corporate law group, preferably in commercial finance.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal document management systems, and related software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
• High professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.
