Job summary

Manning Personnel Group, Inc. in Boston is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a financial services firm's legal team in a newly created role supporting the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel.

You will own document management, filing, and the development of internal processes, with opportunities to implement best practices and streamline workflows across the department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certificate or related training a plus.
  • Experience in a legal support role within financial services or law firm.
  • Strong document management, filing, and recordkeeping experience.
  • Experience developing, documenting, and improving processes/workflows.
  • Ability to bring forward recommendations and best practices based on previous experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day paralegal and administrative support to the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel.
  • Manage legal documents, records, agreements, and filing systems, ensuring materials are organized, accurate, and accessible.
  • Develop, document, and maintain process flows and procedures for recurring legal and administrative activities.
  • Review existing workflows and recommend best practices for document management, recordkeeping, and legal team operations.
  • Assist with the preparation, organization, execution, and maintenance of contracts and other legal documents.
  • Maintain electronic files and document repositories and establish consistent filing and recordkeeping practices.
  • Track agreements, deadlines, deliverables, approvals, and other legal matters as needed.
  • Coordinate signatures, document execution, and distribution of completed agreements.
  • Assist with legal research, document review, and preparation of materials as needed.
  • Partner with internal teams to gather information and documentation required by the legal department.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency and organization of the legal function.
  • Take ownership of administrative and operational responsibilities to allow senior members to focus on higher-level matters.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Support additional legal department projects and initiatives as needed.

Job description

Compensation

$80-120k+
