Job summary

Nelson Mullins' Boca Raton office is seeking a full-time Probate Paralegal to support attorneys and clients on probate matters within our Estate Planning team. You’ll work closely with attorneys and personal representatives throughout the probate process, preparing documents and coordinating communications with involved parties.

Ideal candidates bring Florida probate, trusts and estates experience, familiarity with probate rules, and strong math and computer skills, including Florida e-filing.

Qualifications

• Prior probate, trusts and estates experience in Florida is preferred.
• Familiar with probate process and rules.
• Excellent math and computer skills.
• Proficiency with Florida courts e-filing.
• Knowledge of federal estate tax returns a plus.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and able to prioritize and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients, personal representatives, trustees, family members and beneficiaries.
• Prepare deeds, probate forms, pleadings, inventories and asset transfer documents.
• Organize and analyze assets; assist with valuations.
• Review information from banks, brokerages, and other financial statements.

Are you an experienced Probate Paralegal who is looking to join a team that appreciates your expertise? Do you have a deep understanding of all facets of trust and probate administration? If so, the Boca Raton Office of Nelson Mullins is looking for a full-time Paralegal to work with attorneys and clients on probate matters. Nelson Mullins, an AmLaw 100 firm, is currently seeking a Paralegal with experience supporting corporate attorneys to provide an elevated level of administrative support and assistance to a busy team of corporate legal professionals in our Boca Raton office.

A Day in the Life

As a key member of our Estate Planning team, you’ll work closely with attorneys and clients throughout the probate process. Your responsibilities will include communicating with clients, personal representatives, trustees, family members, and beneficiaries; preparing deeds, probate forms, pleadings, inventories, and asset transfer documents; organizing and analyzing assets and assisting with valuations; and reviewing information from bank, brokerage, and other financial statements.

Desirable skills include prior probate, trusts, and estates experience in Florida as a paralegal or administrative assistant; familiarity with the probate process and rules; excellent math and computer skills, proficiency with Florida courts e-filing; familiarity with federal estate tax returns; strong communication and organization skills; detail oriented and self-motivated; understand prioritization and client service; and multi-task in a busy practice.
