Illinois Farm Bureau's Legal Department in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Paralegal to support corporate, litigation, regulatory, transactions, and contracts work. You will coordinate with in-house attorneys, outside counsel, and staff, preparing and filing documents, summaries of research, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, a paralegal certificate (preferred), strong attention to detail, communication skills, and technical savvy.

About the role

The Legal Department for the Illinois Agricultural Association and the COUNTRY Financial group have an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal in our Bloomington, IL office. In this role, you’ll support multiple practice areas within the corporate Legal Department, with a primary focus on corporate, litigation, regulatory, transactions, and contracts and act as a liaison between company attorneys, outside counsel, organization, and in-house employees. A proactive approach, positive attitude, high engagement, and a strong interest in learning will make you a great fit for our team.

How does this role make an impact?

• Assembles, prepares, proofs, analyzes and edits drafts of legal documents. - Prepares and files legal documents with appropriate entities, as required. - Prepares and conducts summaries of legal research as directed. - May review and ensure the company’s compliance with regulations. - May assist attorneys with litigation case files, reports, legal holds and discovery matters. - Works on special projects and corporate initiatives as assigned.

Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.

• Paralegal certificatestronglypreferred.
• Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at all levels of the organization.
• Possesses analytical ability and ingenuity, with strong problem-solving skills and good judgement.
• Technical savvy.
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Office suite and legal enterprise software.
• Well organized, able toidentifyand prioritize tasks, and successfully manage multiple projects.
• Proven ability toanticipateneeds and requirements and adjust positively to changes in direction and/or assignment.
• Works well independently and as part of a team.

Base Pay Range:

$51,600-$70,950

The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.

Incentive Pay:

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
