Job summary

Illinois Farm Bureau is offering an internship to work with County Farm Bureau managers, planning programs and events and learning the role through hands-on tasks. You will help plan member-focused programs, prepare materials for board meetings, attend meetings, and complete a membership engagement project.

Nights and weekends may be required during the internship. Interns will gain exposure to leadership at multiple levels, network with colleagues, and explore a potential career path in county

• Must be able to work full-time hours from late May 2027 to early August 2027.
• Graduation date of August 2027 or beyond.
• Interest in becoming a County Farm Bureau manager after graduation
• Good Communicator

About the role

The intern will work alongside County Farm Bureau managers to help plan programs and events and learn what the role is all about.

Application Timeline:
We know waiting can be difficult, so we want to set expectations upfront. Our internship recruiting process takes place over several months. Applications open in mid-September and are reviewed as they are received. HR interviews are expected to begin in mid-October, followed by interviews with hiring leaders. Depending on the role and applicant volume, hiring decisions and offers may be made anytime from October through January. We appreciate your patience throughout the process and will communicate updates as they become available.
