Job summary

The Lake Washington School District seeks a Paraeducator at Juanita High School to assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with various needs. You will help develop daily living and behavioral skills and support classroom activities and materials management.

Applicants must be 18+, have a HS diploma or equivalent, and meet education options (AA or 72 college credits or valid paraeducator assessments). A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must hold an AA or higher OR have completed two years of college (72 credit hours) OR have passed paraeducator assessments.
• Official documentation will be required upon hire and a criminal background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with diverse needs.
• Support students' health care needs and develop daily living and behavioral skills.
• Assist staff with classroom preparation and retrieval, use and storage of equipment and supplies.
• May supervise students in library, classrooms, resource rooms, and during bus transitions.
