Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• One of the following: associate degree or higher; 72 quarters/48 sem. credits; paraeducator apprenticeship; PESB assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instructional support and student supervision in classrooms or learning environments.
• Prepare educational materials for lessons.
• Monitor students' progress, behavior, and safety.
• Perform routine clerical tasks to support teachers and district staff.

Education

Associate degree or higher

72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher

Completed paraeducator apprenticeship

PESB assessments: Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment or Master Teacher paraeducator program
