Job summary

Edmonds School District is seeking paraeducators to work collaboratively with certificated staff in classrooms or learning environments, assisting with instructional support and student supervision, preparing educational materials, and monitoring progress, behavior, and safety. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet one: associate degree or higher, 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher, paraeducator apprenticeship, or PESB assessments.
• Possession of First Aid and CPR certifications or willingness to acquire.
• Certification of de-escalation and physical restraint training is required for self-contained classrooms.
• Complete mandatory in-person training/orientation prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Work with certificated staff in classrooms or other learning environments.
• Assist with instructional support, student supervision, and material preparation.
• Monitor student progress, behavior, and safety; perform routine clerical tasks to support staff.
