Job summary

Hands of Heartland is seeking a Full Time Professional in Omaha, NE to work with school-age students with an IEP. Under supervision of a certified teacher, you will help develop academic and daily living skills, provide social-emotional support, and assist with transitions to independent living.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. Starting pay ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour. Experience not required—we provide training and a supportive team environment.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Must be able to pass all background checks.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

Under the guidance of a certified Special Education teacher, you will work with one or more school-age students with an IEP to provide targeted academic skills, daily living skills and social/emotional support to reduce or eliminate barriers to independent adult living. Students may need assistance with self-care and/or mobility. Coaches will work with students on their IEP goals and do daily data recording on these goals. Coaches will also work with students on daily living skills in the classroom and out in the community. You will assist students in transitioning from school to adult living by providing real life experiences and helping them to be as independent as possible.

Hours:

Full-time hours. Monday through Friday from 8a-4p.
