Island Tech Services in Ronkonkoma, NY is seeking a reliable Warehouse/Shop Assistant for a part-time, 25-hour workweek. You will support daily operations in the warehouse and production shop, handling materials, organizing inventory, and assisting technicians to keep workflows smooth.

The role emphasizes safety, basic tool knowledge, and a willingness to learn as you help prep vehicles, move parts, and maintain a clean, organized work area. PPE is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior warehouse or shop experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day.
• Basic understanding of tools and materials used in vehicle upfitting or general fabrication is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.

• Pull parts and components for work orders and deliver them to technicians or bays.
• Maintain organized storage areas and shop supplies.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
• Keep the shop and warehouse clean, safe, and free of hazards.
• Support production staff with general tasks such as prepping vehicles, moving parts, or disposing of packaging.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment as needed (training provided).
• Help with loading and unloading of trucks or customer pickups.
• Follow company safety protocols and contribute to a positive work environment.
