Job summary

Valmet seeks a Technical Service Representative to deliver field service and technical support for papermaking finishing equipment. The role covers installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs and operator training.

Travel extensively across North America; provide customer-facing service and prepare detailed service reports. Requires an Associate/Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or Papermaking Technology and 3–5 years’ relevant experience.

Qualifications

Associate/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Papermaking Technology, or related technical field.
3–5 years of technical experience within the papermaking industry or related industrial environment.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel extensively throughout North America.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support and advisory services to customers and contractors.
Assist with equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and field service work.
Prepare service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Train customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
Conduct site audits and identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements.
Support customers throughout the United States and North America.
