Job Description

We are seeking career-minded individuals for production work. We will train you in entry-level jobs in the mill, which is an industrial environment. The work includes operation of paper and pulp manufacturing machinery and forklifts. Workers must have the ability to learn entry-level jobs and progress to operating other machinery. Production workers are hourly union positions and must be able to work day shifts and night shifts as scheduled. Please read the qualifications and additional information below.

Qualifications

• Industrial or manufacturing work experience with a good work record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and pass a physical abilities test.
• Ability to work rotating shifts (day and night).
• Ability to stand for a 12-hour shift.
• Willingness to work some weekends and holidays as the mill operates 24/7.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, especially during the initial period.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Additional Information

• Pay starts at $20/hour for the first 90 days, increasing to $25-26/hour or more after 90 days.
• Production job rates range from $24.23 to $35.47 per hour, depending on the position. Advancement is based on seniority and qualifications. All hours worked on Sundays are paid at time and a half. Night shift premiums are $0.94/hour in addition to the base rate.
• Excellent benefits are available after 90 days, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, 401(k), and 13 paid holidays annually.
• New employees are subject to a 6-month probationary period.
• The company maintains a smoke-free and drug-free environment, including cannabis.
• Hourly employees are subject to random drug testing.
• Employment is contingent upon passing a medical physical, drug screen, physical abilities test, and background check.
