Job summary

Ahlstrom is seeking a Paper Mill Intern at our De Pere, Wisconsin plant for Summer 2027. You will assist the Production Team in achieving safety, quality, production, cost, and product development objectives for a paper machine process line.

The role offers hands-on experience in a team-oriented environment to build relevant skills for your future career. Qualified students are enrolled in a Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related degree program and must be authorized to work

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or similar Engineering degree program.
• Strong technical aptitude and proven problem solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Follow manufacturing and hygiene processes to meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements for each grade of paper.
• Assist and/or lead safety, productivity, quality, efficiency, cost control, compliance, and housekeeping projects.
• Support machine manager in leading a paper machine process line and daily/long-term activities.
• Support operations/maintenance efforts and drive continuous improvement.
