Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a capable operations supervisor to lead the daily performance of 3 containerboard paper machines, a recycle fiber plant, and shipping/logistics. The role emphasizes safety leadership, environmental compliance, and meeting production targets.

You will supervise crews, drive reliability and efficiency, train operators, and coordinate outages while maintaining high quality and housekeeping standards across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 3+ years relevant experience or High School diploma/GED and 10+ years related experience.
• Working knowledge of Outlook/Acrobat Reader/Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and ability to learn new applications.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities with the ability to decide based on alarm or upset process conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline operations for 3 containerboard paper machines, recycling fiber plant, and shipping/logistics.
• Promote and demonstrate safety practices; engage crew to prevent incidents.
• Ensure environmental compliance and quality specifications; meet production goals.
• Manage crews and equipment for reliability and efficiency; troubleshoot issues with support resources.
• Provide leadership and coaching to rotating shift crews in Paper and Shipping departments.
• Organize training to maximize operator proficiency; coordinate machine outages and housekeeping.
