Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Pantry Assistant to prepare various food products and ensure proper food handling procedures. You will arrange supplies between storage and work areas and operate kitchen equipment for cooking, serving and storage.

You will also receive and inventory food and beverages and perform other duties as assigned by management. This non-exempt position reports to the Cook and requires adherence to recipes, proper labeling, stocking and temperature checks, with opportunities for

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift/push objects weighing over 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend and twist to perform normal job functions.
• Able to read, understand instructions and policy documents.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and product directions for food preparation.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Prepare equipment for cooking and operate kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Weigh, measure, mix, wash, slice and knead food products as directed.
• Receive and inventory food and beverage products and maintain stock.
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.
