Job summary

Common Heart, Inc. is seeking a Common Cupboard Manager to lead our Indian Trail warehouse and volunteer pantry operations. You will train and inspire a team of volunteers to collect, store and distribute food for neighbors in Union County, NC, while managing donations, inventory, and vehicles.

You’ll oversee safety, relationships with donors, and event support, including the Great Turkey Countdown, in a role that combines hands-on logistics with community leadership.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and working alongside volunteers to sort, pack, and distribute food.
• Driving our box truck or cargo van to pick up donations (no CDL required).
• Operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack).
• Keeping the warehouse clean, safe, and well-organized.
• Collaborating with staff to ensure food is collected, stored and distributed safely.
• Supporting special events like the annual Great Turkey Countdown.
