Job summary

Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is seeking a Community Nutrition Manager to lead the design and advancement of Nutrition Programming, including Healthy Pantry and Nutrition Education initiatives. You will champion nutrition-based strategies, build partnerships, and drive efforts to address health inequities across 34 counties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in nutrition, dietetics, public health, or related field.
• 4+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• 3+ years in nutrition program management and curriculum development.
• 3+ years working with diverse populations.
• 3+ years working with Food Is Medicine and social determinants of health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff to implement Nutrition Programming across a 34-county service area.
• Act as subject matter expert on nutrition and guidance for internal/external partners.
• Participate in budget development and ensure proper use of funding.
• Oversee Nutrition Program inventory, teaching kitchens, and materials.
• Develop and evaluate nutrition programming, education, and demonstrations.
• Establish and monitor program goals and performance measures.
