Job summary

Center of Hope, Inc. seeks a dedicated Food Pantry Manager to oversee daily pantry operations, ensure proper product display, rotation, and date checks, and enforce nutrition and safety standards in partnership with Gleaners.

You will maintain required forms, supervise volunteers, and coordinate weekly deliveries to keep items in stock. The Free Choice Market emphasizes dignity and choice with a grocery-store style experience, hosted by volunteers, open by appointment, and focused on empowerment

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.
• Receive weekly deliveries from Gleaners.
• Ensure backstock area is clean and organized.
• Manage inventory levels to keep items in stock.
• Maintain frozen foods/meat inventory and adjust shopping area limits.
• Train volunteers and schedule volunteer times.
• Attend Gleaners agency meetings and conference calls.
• Coordinate food drives and donation campaigns.
• Equipment care—cleaning, defrosting, sanitizing.
• Meet with volunteer coordinator and Director to review volunteer needs.
