Job summary

Center of Hope, Inc. seeks a dedicated Food Pantry Manager to oversee daily pantry operations, ensure proper product display, rotation, and date checks, and enforce nutrition and safety standards in partnership with Gleaners.

Qualifications

• Oversee daily pantry operations and ensure products are displayed, rotated and date reviewed.
• Maintain policies and procedures from Gleaners foodbank.
• Maintain forms required by Gleaners.
• Keep operation compliant with food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.
• Receive weekly deliveries from Gleaners.
• Ensure backstock area is clean and organized.
• Manage inventory levels to keep items in stock.
• Maintain frozen foods/meat inventory and adjust shopping area limits.
• Train volunteers and schedule volunteer times.
• Attend Gleaners agency meetings and conference calls.
• Coordinate food drives and donation campaigns.
• Equipment care—cleaning, defrosting, sanitizing.
• Meet with volunteer coordinator and Director to review volunteer needs.
