Job summary

Ohio Gratings, Inc. Canton site is seeking an Assistant Panel Shear Operator to support material handling and workflow around the panel shear. You will load and unload materials using forklifts, Combi lifts, and overhead cranes, and help stage pieces for accurate cutting.

You will maintain safety certifications, perform Epicor ERP transactions, and assist with daily production activities. The role involves physical labor, strict adherence to cut recipes, and teamwork with the Panel Shear

Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Current certifications in forklift, Combi lift, and overhead crane operation required.
Demonstrated safe equipment operation history.

Responsibilities

Load and unload raw materials, cut panels, and finished goods using forklifts, Combi lifts, and overhead cranes.
Assist the Panel Shear Operator by staging materials, removing scrap, and supporting workflow around the shear.
Operate forklifts, Combi lifts, and overhead cranes safely and maintain active certifications.
Accurately record material movements, job completions, and inventory usage in the Epicor ERP system.
Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, stacking, and general labor as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow 5S standards.
Follow safety protocols and report unsafe conditions.
Coordinate with the production team to ensure smooth operations and timely progress.
Ensure cuts follow the cut recipe worksheet.
