Job summary

Midrex Technologies, Inc. is hiring a Panel Operator in North Carolina to join the Operations team. The role involves directing field tasks, adjusting control parameters, and supporting commissioning with the Operations Lead in both the control room and on site.

You will collaborate with engineers, prepare manuals, and train client personnel while supporting startup activities and shift handovers. Travel is required to support projects globally.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Trade certification in mechanical, electrical or instrumentation preferred.
• Experience with process plants or operations is a plus.
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Interface with engineers and field operators to fulfill project tasks.
• Assist in development of training materials and manuals.
• Prepare operating instructions, maintenance manuals and commissioning procedures.
• Participate in training programs and provide on-the-job instruction.
• Conduct pre-operations checks on electrical, mechanical and instrumentation systems.
• Support startup activities for new plants during commissioning.
• Adjust process parameters in the control system to optimize performance.
• Monitor parameter changes during handover to clients' teams.
• Maintain logs of plant conditions for shift transitions.
• Travel on business or field assignments as needed.
• Support mechanical, electrical, and process departments during design phases.
