Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Panel Integration Technician to install and integrate electrical components in control panels and switchgear, ensuring proper assembly, functionality and safety of electrical systems. The role involves mechanical and electrical tasks in a manufacturing setting.

You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and perform component bolting, wiring, and cable tray work. Hubbell supports grid modernization and reliable energy infrastructure, with opportunities

Qualifications

  • Experience assembling and wiring components inside control panels and enclosures.
  • Ability to read drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficient use of hand and power tools and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

  • Install components such as pushbuttons, terminals, breakers, transformers.
  • Install bus bars, insulating material, and cable trays.
  • Perform mechanical adjustments, drilling, tapping, and cutting as needed.
  • Install and terminate conductors, perform panel installation and bonding.
  • Finish with touch-up painting as required.

Job description

The Panel Integration Technician is responsible for the installation and integration of electrical components within control panels, switchgear, sub-panels, and other equipment enclosures. This role involves mechanical and electrical tasks to ensure proper assembly, functionality, and safety of electrical systems.

A Day In The Life
  • Install pushbuttons, pilot and control devices, instruments, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, transformers, and similar components.
  • Install bus bars in panels and switchgear, including:
  • Insulating tubing, boots, and sleeving
  • Tape or roll-applied insulation
  • Insulators and supports

Mechanical Adjustments:

  • Perform bolting and securing of components.
  • Make necessary corrections for minor fabrication errors, including:
  • Redrilling
  • Tapping
  • Filing
  • Cutting

Electrical Tasks:

  • Perform panel installation and bonding.
  • Prepare, run, and terminate conductors.
  • Install cable tray systems.
  • Lights
  • Strut
  • Tray
  • Battery chargers
  • Switches
  • Conduit

General Duties:

  • Complete any other electrical tasks related to equipment enclosures.
  • Perform touch-up painting as required.
