Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure a safe, healthy work environment and timely repair/replacement for optimal production output. You will perform preventative maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and read blueprints to guide repairs.

The role requires four years of electrical/mechanical and industrial maintenance experience, hydraulics know-how, fork truck certification, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Four years’ experience in general electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Four years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
• Two years’ experience in hydraulics.
• Fork truck certification is required or obtainable.
• Able to read electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic prints and schematics.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills (high school diploma or GED).
• Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and preventative maintenance on electrical fixtures, machines, equipment, hydraulic equipment, and building.
• Perform general grounds and building maintenance.
• Read from electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical blueprints.
• Determine need for repair or replacements of equipment, etc.
• Refurbish and/or rebuild equipment as necessary.
• Monitor and test equipment to ensure all safety and codes are correct.
• Ensure that equipment safeguards, and protective devises are operational at all times.
• Construct and maintain all fixtures, units and sections.
• Request needed supplies for building and equipment maintenance.
• Operate fork truck as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Instruct lesser skilled employees in the maintenance department.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
• Must wear all PPE required for the specific work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What will help you thrive in this role?

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills normally acquired through a high school diploma or GED.
• Four (4) years’ experience in general electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Four (4) years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
• Two (2) years’ experience in hydraulics.
• Must have and/or be able to obtain fork truck certification.
• Must have a complete compliment of standard industrial tools needed to maintenance all types of equipment.
• Must be able to read electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic prints and schematics.
• Have basic knowledge of PLC trouble shooting.
