Job summary

Gulf Island seeks an Assembly Technician to join our field-based team. The role focuses on assembling and installing panels, measuring and cutting insulation, and ensuring components are securely fastened.

You will work with Rockwool insulation, Bat insulation, perforated sheet metal, clamps, impact drivers, and drills, following prints and instructions while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in construction, drywall or framing, with a basic understanding of prints.
• Familiarity with using clamps, impact drivers, and drills.
• Familiarity with perforated sheet metal and the use of hardware in assembly.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Install panels with proper alignment and secure attachment.
• Measure, cut and install Rockwool insulation into panels.
• Perform Bat installation (pink insulation) to specifications.
• Use clamps to hold materials and fasten with impact drivers or drills.
• Drape plastic to protect components during installation.
• Work with perforated sheet metal ensuring accurate installation.
• Collaborate with a team to complete tasks on time and to quality standards.
• Interpret prints and assembly instructions.
