Job summary

Gulf Island in Houma, LA is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble and install panels, measure and cut insulation, and ensure all components are correctly installed and secured. You will work closely with a team using clamps, impact drivers and drills while handling Rockwool insulation, perforated sheet metal and plastic.

Requirements include 1+ years in construction, drywall or framing and familiarity with these tools. A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in construction, drywall or framing.
• Familiarity with clamps, impact drivers, and drills.
• Basic understanding of prints and assembly drawings.
• Ability to work in a team and pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Install panels as part of the assembly process with proper alignment.
• Measure, cut and install Rockwool insulation into panels.
• Perform Bat installation to specified requirements.
• Use clamps and power tools to fasten hardware securely.
• Drape plastic to protect components and areas during installation.
• Collaborate with team to complete tasks on time and to quality.
• Interpret prints and assembly instructions accurately.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
