Job summary

Gulf Island is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble and install panels, measure and cut insulation, and ensure components are securely fastened. You’ll work with Rockwool, perforated sheet metal, and plastic as part of a collaborative team, using clamps, impact drivers, and drills.

The role requires reading prints and instructions, following safety protocols, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in construction, drywall or framing with a basic understanding of prints.
• Familiarity with clamps, impact drivers, and drills.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assemble panels and ensure proper alignment and secure attachment.
• Measure, cut and install Rockwool insulation into panels.
• Install Bat insulation to specified requirements.
• Use clamps to hold materials and power tools to fasten hardware.
• Drape plastic to protect components or areas during installation.
• Work with perforated sheet metal and finish installations.
