Howden’s core focus is on providing quality solutions for air and gas handling and has over a century of experience in doing so. We are hiring a Control Panel Technician for our Windsor, CT location. This is an onsite position.
• Perform a variety of machining and assembly operations on various standard and custom control panels.
• Conduct wiring from diagrams, schematics, and complex blueprints.
• Perform drilling, tapping, hole punching and cutouts in enclosures and panels.
• Assemble end wire electrical control panels Including operators, pilot lights, pushbuttons, selector *itches, relays, timers, contactors, starters, alternators, controllers, recorders, transmitters, PLC's and similar equipment.
• Test functional operation of the complete unit and perform troubleshooting procedures.
• Standing for long periods of time
• Stooping, bending, lifting up to 30lbs
• Walking throughout the production floor
o High school diploma or GED
o Strong attention to detail.
o Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Ability to read engineering documentation (drawings, test specification).
o Strong mechanical aptitude.
o Ability to use a variety of hand tools.
o Work independently and as part of a team.
o Must be familiar with the operation and connection of low to medium three phase motors.
o Electrical background or certification a plus
