Interview Type: Skype *** Very long term project initial PO for 1 year, expect to go for 4+ years *** Remote
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues related to networking and security.
- Building highly scalable and highly available solutions deployed on public clouds (such as AWS, Azure, and or GCP), and or hybrid environments.
- Assistance in working with other DIT teams, which includes the network and security teams, for cloud on-boarding and migrations.
- Assist the operational team as needed and requested.
- Perform root cause analysis and post-implementation reviews.
- Assist the cloud team to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
- Schedules and coordinates the installation and configuration of cloud network infrastructure solutions with customers and other internal DIT teams.
- Maintain and keep track of all technical duties that are related to cloud networking such as design, planning, management, maintenance, and support.
- Manage, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues: utilization/throughput, slowness, and unexpected latency.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Competencies:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto VM Series firewall and Panorama configuration and optimization.
- Experience with VPN technologies to include IPsec and SSL technologies.
- Ability to work on large TCP/IP networks, design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with name services and resolution, associated IP assignments.
- Experience with routers, routing protocols, transit gateways, load balancing, and overall cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, routes, security groups, endpoints, CIDR assignments.
- Experience with security best practices and implementing security controls in an AWS cloud environment.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud networking infrastructure issues.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate cloud standards and security best practices to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated with strong team-oriented and collaborative attitude.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of cloud infrastructure components such as compute, storage, network management, and monitoring (network and security).
- Knowledge of WAF as a Service (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of core network services (including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM technologies).
- Knowledge of IAM technologies (Azure AD, AD AWS SSO).
- Ability to document detailed designs.
