Job summary

California Bank & Trust is seeking a Branch Relationship Banker (Personal Banker) in Palmdale, CA. You will deliver exceptional, full-service banking with a focus on building meaningful client relationships and providing personalized financial solutions.

The role requires strong customer service, sales skills, and knowledge of retail banking products. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, with benefits and base salary in the $23–$27 hourly range.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years in sales, teller, new accounts or loan processing or related experience.
• Previous experience in financial sales representative-oriented role preferred.
• Working knowledge of mathematical calculations and standard banking products, services, and transactions.
• Solid knowledge of all retail products and services.
• Basic knowledge of consumer lending applications.
• Proven customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Effective selling, cross-selling and referral skills.
• Solid mathematical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Solid interpersonal & relationship building skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers a full-service banking experience with emphasis on relationship-building, sales and personalized service.
• Plans and hosts community events to strengthen local relationships.
• Opens new accounts and supports consumer lending needs.
• Addresses client concerns directly or connects clients with internal partners.
• Recommends bank products and services based on client needs.
• Maintains lasting client relationships with follow-ups and high-quality service.
• May process cash transactions, open/maintain accounts, and originate/close loans.
• Supports daily branch operations and customer service tasks as needed.
• May be reassigned to an alternate location within 30 miles as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
