Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a compassionate Palliative Care RN to support patients and families facing serious illness in Billings, Montana. You will coordinate care, educate patients, assess symptoms, and collaborate with a wide team to ensure comfort and dignity throughout the care journey.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice (or compact license with transfer within 60 days).
• BSN from an accredited institution. Education will be verified.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with <12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care and serve as a navigator for palliative care patients and their families.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and available resources.
• Assess symptoms and collaborate with providers to support symptom management plans.
• Triage patient and family calls, questions, and care concerns.
• Coordinate services across primary care, specialty care, hospice, home health, and community resources.
• Support advance care planning conversations and documentation.
• Provide ongoing follow-up and care coordination throughout the patient’s healthcare journey.
