UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate in Fredericksburg, VA to maintain cleanliness and proper storage in the warehouse.

You will load, unload, and move product by hand or with carts and pallet jacks, following safety guidelines and best practices. • Entry level, no prior experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Must understand labeling and product identification.
• Ability to clearly identify products from package labels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and proper arrangement of the warehouse.
• Load, unload and move product and materials by hand, on carts, pallets, skid and pallet jacks following safety guidelines.
• Accurately count and record quantities for inventory transactions.
• Identify materials moved and ensure they match descriptions on documentation.
• Ensure proper labeling disciplines and up-to-date product numbers.
• Box, tape, wrap, pack, band and shrink wrap bulk materials to prevent damage during transport.
• Locate, identify, label and pick required materials from printed pick lists.
• Perform picking and pulling of daily orders without forklift use.
• Document inbound and outbound loads using a camera when needed.
• Read and understand written pick lists and related paperwork.

Job description

Job Summary: Responsible for warehouse cleanliness and proper arrangement of warehouse. Individuals are in charge of making sure warehouse is autocleaning production is maintained properly in the racks. Load, unload and move product and materials by hand, on carts, pallets, skid and pallet jacks following company Safety guidelines and best practices.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately count and record quantities so proper inventory transactions can be made.
• Identify those materials moved match descriptions on associated documentation.
• Ensure that proper labelling disciplines are followed, and product numbers are up to date.
• Ensure that bulk packed materials are properly boxed, taped, wrapped, packed, banded, shrink wrapped or otherwise to ensure safe transportation without incurring damage.
• Locate, identify, label and pick required materials as identified on printed pick lists.
• Picking and pulling of daily orders without the use of a forklift.
• Use of a camera to document both inbound and outbound load conditions and quality issues.
• Ability to use basic hand tools for opening or closing crates and completing basic assembly tasks.
• Be able to read and understand written Pick lists, etc.

Qualifications

• Entry level, no experience required.

• Must have knowledge of custom store fixture industry and receiving.
• Ability to clearly identify product from package labels.

Hourly $17.00 - $20.00 dependent on experience.
