Job description

Palletizer Operator - Night Shift (Finance)

Purpose of the Position: Produce pallets of properly stacked product, stretch wrapped, and ready for storage in the warehouse.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Ensure palletizing machines operate continuously. Troubleshoot malfunctions promptly, including issues with machines, shuttle cars, wrappers, and photo eyes. Notify maintenance of repairs.
2. Select appropriate palletizing patterns and verify code dates at each changeover.
3. Coordinate with forklift drivers for changeovers and material handling.
4. Ensure all finished pallets meet quality standards, checking for proper pattern, correct bag size, and pattern setup.
5. Optimize stack patterns for best quality—minimize overhang, gaps, and ensure symmetry.
6. Assist with LP process, verify accuracy of LPs, G-Code, and quantities.
7. Participate in team activities, communication, and policy implementation. Attend team meetings and support organizational cohesion.
8. Follow Simmons Operating Systems principles, including quality, security, LEAN, and company policies.
9. Perform other duties supporting business objectives as needed.
10. Physical Activities: Standing, walking, lifting up to 55 lbs, in hot and cold environments.
11. Personal Protective Equipment: Steel-toed shoes, ear plugs, hair net.
12. Technical Experience: Experience with large machinery and fast-paced production.
13. Industry Experience: Manufacturing background with knowledge of GMP.
14. Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
