Job summary

Maker's Pride in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a SIT-DOWN FORKLIFT OPERATOR to support palletizing operations on the production floor. The role requires safe operation of forklifts and adherence to safety policies as a core value.

You will monitor robotic palletizing machines, load cases per SKU, and enter data into the SAP system while maintaining good housekeeping and clear communication with leads and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must have sit-down forklift experience.
• Must follow safety policies and reinforce safety as a core value.
• Must adhere to policies for food safety and quality where applicable.
• Must be able to operate robotic palletizing machines and manage cases per SKU.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies such as LOTO, PPE, PIT and Housekeeping.
• Operate robotic palletizing machines to stack cases per SKU and line.
• Ensure pallets are indexed and wrapped with plastic.
• Enter data into the SAP system.
• Maintain cleanliness and communicate with leads or supervisor.
• Troubleshoot basic machine faults and reset as needed.

Job Summary

MUST HAVE SIT-DOWN FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE.

This position has the responsibility to always comply with Safety work rules as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures, and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed, and complied with uniformly, to reduce product and process variability.

The purpose of the robotic palletizing operator is to monitor the robotic palletizing machines, following all safety policies and procedures, as they collect cases/cartons according to product SKU and line.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies such as LOTO, PPE, PIT and
• Assumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
• Always ensures regulatory compliance.
• Adhere to safety policies such as LOTO, PPE, PIT and Housekeeping
• Operate the robotic palletizing machines ensuring cases are properly stacked according to product SKU and line.
• Ensure all full pallets are indexed and wrapped with plastic.
• Enter data into the SAP system.
• Maintain frequent communication with leads and/or supervisor.
• Keep empty pallets, slip sheets and other necessary supplies on hand for the job.
• Work through the HMI (Human Machine Interface)
• Determine if product meets proper specifications or not and take corrective action as needed.
• Stack cases of product manually as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and general good housekeeping of the palletizing area, keeping all debris and dirt swept up.
• Clear case jams and reset machine and pallet count when/if needed.
• Troubleshoot basic machine faults and follow prompting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification
• Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
• Ability lifts to 50 lbs. safely when handling pallets for hand stacking finished outgoing product.
• Ability to work independently at times.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to travel stairs.
