Job summary

Latitude 36 Foods, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator in Salinas, CA. The role requires Power Industrial Truck certification, safe forklift operation, and strict adherence to GMP and SQF standards to support production needs.

Responsibilities include keeping forklifts ready, supplying raw goods to staging areas, completing SOP documentation, and complying with allergen/organic warehousing regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position with a daytime shift.

Qualifications

• Must possess PIT training with a license/cert active within 3 years and with 6 months of PIT operator experience.
• Ability to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Strong safety mindset and GMP/SQF awareness.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Power Industrial Truck Certification Program.
• Maintain safety and adhere to all job safety rules.
• Observe GMP requirements and SQF audit readiness.
• Drive forklifts safely and supply raw goods to production staging areas.
• Support tote supply and SOP-driven tasks.
• Follow allergen/organic warehousing regulations and complete documentation.

Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: 4:00AM-3:00PM (overtime and weekends as required)

*May vary, depending on business needs.

Pay Rate: $22.75 p/hr

Required Qualifications

• Must possess previous PIT training with a license/certification active within 3 years, and with 6 months of PIT operator experience.
• Must be able to operate sit-down, stand-up, among other PIT machinery.

Desired Qualifications

• Minimum formal education, HS Diploma preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to work with changing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to successfully complete the Power Industrial Truck Certification Program.
• Ensure “Safety First” is always practiced and observes and adheres to all job safety rules.
• Abide by ALL Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Ensure warehouse is always in SQF Audit readiness.
• Ability to drive the forklifts in a safe manner.
• Ensure and organize supply of raw goods to production staging areas.
• Ability to support tote supply function, transferring totes from tote staging area to production.
• Performing assigned tasks, as required per SOP guidelines.
• Understanding of allergen and organic warehousing regulations.
• Able to complete all other required documentation per SOP guidelines.
• Complete other assignments as requested by leadership.

Physical Requirement/Environment

• Ability to stand for long periods of time with extensive walking and working in refrigerated coolers (32*).
• Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds or more frequently as needed.
• Normal vision, hearing sensitivity and manual dexterity is necessary in position.
