Job summary

Silgan Containers Mfg Corp is seeking an uncompromising team member to operate the can palletizer and assist with packaging. The role involves setting up pallets, loading shells, and assisting mechanics on the line.

You must be able to read basic blueprints, work quickly and safely on a 12‑hour, rotating shift, and lift up to 50 pounds. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or specs.
• Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate can palletizer and package cans into pallets and boxes.
• Place sleeves in cartons or snakewrap on pallet as required.
• Manually load shells into equipment as required.
• Assist Line Mechanics in basic repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Operate forklift and assist Shipper/Warehouser when required.
• Maintain clean work area and perform other cleaning duties as assigned by Management.
• Attend training sessions as required and assist in training other employees.
• Exercise proper care of company property and follow safety regulations.
