Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform low pressure checks and wipe off tooling.

• Place sleeves in cartons or snakewrap on pallet as required.
• Observe flow of cans and check for defects.
• Assist line mechanics in basic repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Work on a palletizer to group and layer finished goods in preparation for storage or shipment.
• Sort cans and chipboards.
• Daily cleaning and upkeep of work area.
• Gain knowledge of production lines, equipment, and quality standards.

Job Requirements

• Ability to use basic mechanical tools to include measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers)

• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow verbal/written instructions in English

Experience/Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

• Ability to kneel, stoop, crawl, squat, and stand for extended period, while running machinery up to 12 hours
• Must possess adequate upper body strength to repeatedly pull or push hand tools in order to make, repair, or adjust parts and/or machines
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to be in constant motion about 50-70% of shifts
