Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled pallet technician to build and repair wooden pallets from recycled materials. You will use air-driven, electric, pneumatic, and manual tools to ensure pallets meet quality standards and are ready for shipment.

Role requires attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work in varying conditions, and maintain safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• HS degree or GED required.
• Craft apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Observe safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Experience with woodworking tools and pallets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build wooden pallets from recycled materials, deconstructed pallets, and/or lumber.
• Repair damaged pallets and return them to service-ready condition.
• Consolidate and ship repaired pallets back to customers.
• Utilize appropriate tools and methods to repair pallets.
• Examine repaired products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Build and repair assigned pallet quantities after training.
• Work safely without constant supervision to achieve production quotas.
• Stack pallets or materials according to inventory control instructions.
• Check loads to ensure they are secure.
