Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions in Howell, MI, is hiring for a production associate responsible for staining, painting, and finishing industrial doors. You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections, mix stains, operate production equipment, and ensure quality checks throughout the process.

The role requires at least one year of staining/finishing experience, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, use hand and power tools, and pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• One year of staining, painting, or finishing industrial products.
• Custom mixing and matching stains and paint colors.
• Operating computerized production equipment in manufacturing
• Kneeling, squatting, stooping, twisting, and standing in place for extended periods
• Work with products up to 50lbs throughout the day.
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

• Handle door slabs and load and unload machines using a variety of methods both manual and with lift assist equipment.
• Sort and stack doors as needed for staging inbound or outbound in production.
• Sand, stain, paint, prime, and/or prep door slabs during the production process.
• Utilize a variety of pneumatic, mechanical, electric, and hand tools to perform production tasks.
• Ensure product passes quality assessment checks
