We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Paint Department. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the finishing process of high-quality truck bodies. We have openings in the following positions on 1st and 2nd shift.
Caulker
Undercoater
Touch-Up Technician
Top Coat Technician
ZRP Technician
Caulker:
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking. Apply caulk to seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish and prevent corrosion.
Undercoater:
Apply undercoat materials evenly to prepared surfaces, ensuring optimal adhesion and protection. Inspect and adjust as necessary to meet quality standards.
Touch-Up Technician:
Inspect finished surfaces for imperfections such as chips or scratches. Apply touch-up paint to restore the finish and maintain aesthetic quality.
Top Coat Technician:
Apply top coat finishes using equipment, ensuring uniform coverage and adherence to color specifications. Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness.
ZRP:
Apply zinc-rich primer to metal surfaces to prevent corrosion. Ensure proper application techniques and safety protocols are followed.
Prepare and clean surfaces using appropriate tools and materials.
Apply primers, undercoats, top coats, and touch-up finishes as per specifications.
Inspect work for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Previous experience in a paint department or similar role in a manufacturing setting preferred.
Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Capability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive motions, and bend, twist, and kneel as required.
Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment effectively.
Ability to work in a variety of environments, including areas with exposure to paint fumes and chemicals.
