This hands-on role combines craftsmanship, safety, and attention to detail to keep municipal spaces looking their best.Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Painting/staining the interior and exterior areas of all city owned buildings, structures, parking lots, light poles etc to meet modern and past standards.Prep surfaces by taping and applying chemical solutions for degreasing, acid etchings, chromatic coatings or fillers such as putty, glaze and caulking.Follow all safety procedures and operate automotive equipment in a safe manner.Maintain clear and concise records of work time and materials used.Prevent loss of materials caused by improper storage and handling.Use of high reach lifts, spray equipment, ladders and safety practices are used daily.The ideal candidate brings at least five years of professional painting experience, along with strong knowledge of paints, coatings, and application equipment.
