Summary

The Painter – Level 2 - job opportunity is available at our manufacturing plant in Temecula, CA at Milgard Windows and Doors. This opportunity seeks experienced painters of manufactured products. The position requires gun maintenance, paint mixing, paint delivery control, and ensuring paint quality, including thickness, adhesion, and color matching. Use of respirators and PPE is mandatory for proper paint spraying.

The compensation is $24.50 per hour. The work schedule starts at 5:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Reflect Milgard's Quality Pillars in all painter duties.
• Follow safety policies and procedures related to all aspects of the job.
• Properly use personal protective equipment.
• Pass all respiratory and PPE requirements for spray booth painting.
• Have 1-2 years of liquid or painting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot spray guns; identify issues and seek assistance when needed.
• Accurately mix paints, adhering to proper ratios and water additions based on climate conditions.
• Understand proper spray techniques, including fan settings and distance from the product.
• Ensure paint quality, focusing on thickness, adhesion, and color matching.
• Set up and operate painting equipment; troubleshoot as needed.
• Assist in designing and manufacturing racks and fixtures for painting, and suggest process improvements.
• Effectively inspect work, potentially using electronic coating thickness testers.
