Responsibilities
  • Apply protective and decorative coatings (paint, varnish, lacquer) to interior and exterior surfaces, including preparing surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding or smoothing, and installing, repairing, and maintaining drywall, wall texturing, and vinyl/acoustic wall coverings.
  • Maintain existing paint surfaces by matching/tinting paint products, inspecting the quality of all applications to ensure customer satisfaction, and determining appropriate colors through customer consultation.
  • Safely operate and maintain various equipment, including compressors, striping machines, sandblasters, spray equipment, and heavy lift equipment (scissors/boom stage up to 80 feet), following Standard Precautions, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and properly disposing of hazardous materials.
  • Erect scaffolding, staging, ladders, and planks as needed; create and apply graphics and signage layouts, ensuring compliance with DOT, Safety, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
  • Dedicating a portion of time to special projects, including assisting with assigned tasks, providing additional support and training to team members in basic paint trade practices, and participating in meetings, workshops, and training.

  • Graduate of trade school and 3 years’ relevant experience
  • 5 years’ relevant experience, or other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience
