Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Arkansas is seeking a Painter B to assist in powder coating boats and boat parts, maintaining a safe, positive workplace and contributing to high‑quality products within the schedule.

You will prepare parts, operate coating equipment including guns and hoppers, monitor gauges, and ensure coatings meet required flow and consistency while following standard procedures and wearing PPE. A high school diploma and the ability to lift up to 59 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read tape measurements and follow SOPs.
• Ability to work in team or independently and wear PPE.
• Willingness to cross train and operate coating equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for coating.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Painter B position has the responsibility to work safely, maintain a positive attitude, be respectful to all and focus efforts and abilities towards building a quality product in the time allocated. This position is responsible for assisting in powder coating boats and boat parts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepares parts for coating.
• Follows principles and practices of powder coating.
• Operates all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems.
• Observes machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects.
• Determines paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality.
• Ensure all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established goals.
• Loads and unloads parts or product onto fixtures.
• Maintains maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
