Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a production helper to install vinyl covers on furniture parts and secure them in place. You will stretch, shape, and staple coverings while ensuring quality and neat finishes. You will also perform trimming, hinge installation, and foam gluing, maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role involves operating various assembly machines and tools, requires attention to detail, and supports a team-oriented environment within a busy production setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with vinyl covering and furniture components is preferred.
• Ability to use staple guns and hand tools safely.
• Attention to quality and finishing during assembly.

Responsibilities

• Install vinyl covers on furniture parts using stretching and shaping techniques.
• Staple covers to parts using air powered stapling equipment.
• Inspect finished product for quality; keep area clean and hazard-free.
• Perform manual assembly tasks like trimming, hinge installation, and foam gluing.
• Operate and maintain assembly machines and tools as needed.

Job description

General:

This position is responsible for putting the vinyl covers on the production and warranty furniture components and securing them in place.

Tools and Equipment:

Air powered staple guns and other hand tools such as: scissors, side cutters and staple pullers, screw guns, hammers, pliers, snap machine, hydem machine, embosser, heat transfer machine, tape gun, screen printing, glue gun, nut drivers, wrenches, trim knives, screw driver, drills, grinders, rivet guns. Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields.

Duties:

1. Install vinyl covers on furniture parts using various stretching, pulling and shaping techniques


2. Staple the covers to the furniture parts by using air powered stapling equipment


3. Upon completion of work, inspect finished product for quality


4. Keep own area clean, safe, and hazard free


5. Perform various manual assembly operations such as: trimming, hinge installation, and foam gluing


6. Be able to identify a piece of foam by its shape


7. Collect foam pieces in bundles


8. Operate and perform daily cleaning and maintenance on various assembly machines such as: snap, hydem embossing, heat transfer and screen printing


9. Other tasks as assigned
