Job summary

Valence in Lynwood, CA is seeking an experienced Painter to perform all phases of surface preparation and painting on aircraft parts. You will inspect parts, mix paints, apply coatings, ensure quality, and work with the team on a night shift (10:30pm–6:00am) with a DOE pay range of $18.00–$27.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and coordinating with teammates to meet schedules while observing safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft painting or aerospace surface processing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts to determine painting requirements based on shop paperwork.
• Select and verify appropriate paint per job specifications.
• Mix paint in accordance with Technical Data Sheets or manufacturer’s instructions.
• Prepare surfaces, including minor sanding and cleaning.
• Apply coatings such as epoxy, lacquer, resin, and final color coats.
• Paint a variety of surfaces and metals using proper techniques.
• Replace paint booth filters contaminated with chromate or solvents.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including use of PPE and respirators.
• Coordinate tasks with team members to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Complete assigned tasks within designated time frames.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Status: Onsite, Full-Time Location: Lynwood, CA 90262 Pay Range: $18.00 – $27.50 per hour (DOE) + 3rd Shift Differential (Compensation Will Vary Base On Experience) Shift: 10:30pm - 6:00am

Painter is responsible for performing all phases of surface preparation and painting on aircraft parts. This includes interpreting job specifications, mixing paints, preparing surfaces, and applying coatings in accordance with technical documentation and quality standards.
