Job summary

Valence is seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter to perform surface preparation and painting on aircraft parts. You will interpret job specs, mix paints, prepare surfaces and apply coatings in line with technical docs and quality standards.

This role requires strong attention to detail and safety compliance, with accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities. Expect a 4x10 shift schedule (Fri–Mon, 8:00am–6:30pm) onsite in Lynwood, CA 90262, with pay range $18.00–$29.00 per hour

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aircraft painting or aerospace surface processing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts to determine painting requirements and shop paperwork.
• Select and verify paints per job specifications and data sheets.
• Mix paints following Technical Data Sheets and manufacturer instructions.
• Prepare surfaces with minor sanding and cleaning.
• Apply coatings such as epoxy, lacquer, resin and final color coats.
• Paint various surfaces and metals using proper techniques.
• Coordinate tasks with the team to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE including respirators.

Job Status: Onsite, Full-Time

Location: Lynwood, CA 90262

Pay Range: $18.00 – $29.00 per hour (DOE)

Compensation Will Vary Base On Experience

Shift: 4x10's (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, & Monday) 8:00am - 6:30pm

Painter is responsible for performing all phases of surface preparation and painting on aircraft parts. This includes interpreting job specifications, mixing paints, preparing surfaces, and applying coatings in accordance with technical documentation and quality standards. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. • Inspect parts to determine painting requirements based on shop paperwork
• Select and verify appropriate paint per job specifications
• Mix paint in accordance with Technical Data Sheets or manufacturer’s instructions
• Prepare surfaces, including minor sanding and cleaning
• Apply coatings such as epoxy, lacquer, resin, and final color coats
• Paint a variety of surfaces and metals using proper techniques
• Replace paint booth filters contaminated with chromate or solvents
• Adhere to safety protocols, including use of PPE and respirators
• Coordinate tasks with team members to ensure workflow efficiency
• Complete assigned tasks within designated time frames
• Perform other duties as assigned
