Job summary

AtWork Group in Seattle is seeking a Painter to assist with a range of surface finishing tasks in the commercial aerospace, defense, space, and satellite industries. The role involves preparation work, mixing primers and topcoats, and adhering to safety regulations.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of relevant experience, strong attention to detail, and must be authorized to work in the U.S. A background check and drug test are required for this position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Painter with daily activities that do not involve spraying paint.
  • Prepare parts by hand-sanding and solvent-cleaning.
  • Mix a variety of chromate and non-chromate primers and topcoats.
  • Complete the work order and necessary paperwork during the painting process.
  • Accurately process and document oven charts and temperatures.
  • Sweep and clean the paint shop as necessary.
  • Observe safety regulations and wear protective masks and clothing during daily activities.
  • Manage hazardous materials safely and in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
